Vintage Conn Director cornet in original hard case.

This is a classic old-school American student horn with a ton of character and surprisingly solid functionality considering the cosmetic wear. The valves are working smoothly and the instrument appears fully playable, though it shows heavy cosmetic wear throughout from years of use.

Features include:

  • Brass finish
  • Conn Director model
  • Original hard shell case included
  • Smooth functioning valves
  • Classic compact cornet design

Cosmetically, this horn is definitely player grade. There are scratches, finish wear, oxidation, dings, and lacquer wear throughout. The most notable damage is a fairly large dent/crease along the leadpipe area near the mouthpiece receiver, visible in the photos. Despite the cosmetic condition, the horn still presents well overall and has a cool vintage vibe.

The original case is included, though it is also in rough condition. The latches no longer shut properly and the exterior/interior show significant wear from age and use.

A great affordable vintage horn for a beginner, collector, repair project, wall display, or someone wanting an inexpensive playable cornet with real vintage character.
