The Footprint01 Gen2 is a complete reinvention of one of Barefoot Sound's most acclaimed monitors, redesigned from the ground up to deliver even greater precision, power, and transparency. Now delivering 710 watts of tri-amplified power per monitor, this powerhouse provides greater precision, increased headroom, and enhanced transparency, making it ideal for demanding mix and mastering environments. Three of Barefoot's proprietary technologies — SPOC™, Dual-Force™, and MEME™ — work in concert to deliver a monitor that is technically uncompromising and sonically versatile in equal measure.

Key elements of its design:

• Tri-Amplified Class D Architecture The Footprint01 Gen2 features three dedicated Class D amplifier modules: a 60-watt amplifier powering the tweeter, a 150-watt amplifier driving the midrange, and a 500-watt amplifier energizing the Dual-Force™ woofers. With total harmonic distortion below 0.005% at maximum output, the system achieves exceptional fidelity across the entire frequency spectrum.
• Dual-Force™ Technology The most visually striking aspect of the Footprint01 are the two subwoofers on opposite sides of the enclosure. Both drivers are connected by the same motor and move in and out in opposite directions, cancelling out low-end vibrations before they even begin. The result is powerful, articulate bass with zero cabinet resonance — even at maximum output.
• SPOC™ (SPectrally Optimized Conversion) SPOC™ is Barefoot's patented technology that revolutionizes the analog-to-digital conversion process. By incorporating an analog crossover stage before conversion, SPOC™ allows high frequencies to reach the converter without attenuation, increasing resolution by the equivalent of 5 bits and resulting in a 15 dB improvement in signal-to-noise ratio.
• MEME™ (Multi-Emphasis Monitor Emulation) MEME provides four iconic and instantly selectable voicings: Flat, Hi Fi, Cube, and Old School. Engineers can reference mixes across multiple real-world playback situations, while creators can have one monitor that is both analytical (Flat) and inspirational (Hi Fi).
• Dual Ring Radiator Tweeter This unique tweeter design widens the high-end dispersion for greater flexibility and a more forgiving sweet spot as the listener moves around. The tweeter features a powerful magnet and motor system for longer excursion, higher output, and reduced compression, with copper shorting rings to minimize distortion and neodymium technology to enhance clarity and fidelity — all housed in a machined aluminium waveguide chamber.
• Acoustically Refined Sealed Cabinet The MDF housing of the Footprint01 Gen2 is equipped with internal bracing, acoustic damping, and a precisely manufactured aluminium baffle, ensuring maximum stability and low resonance. With a maximum SPL of ≥113 dB and a linear frequency response, the monitor is suitable for professional applications in mixing, mastering, and immersive multi-channel setups such as Dolby Atmos.
