Guitar Addictions offers this 2013 FSR Standard Stratocaster® HSS Swirl to stir up your hard to find Guitar Addictions!
These were produced for a limited time in 2013. The Telecaster iteration is found a little more frequently than the Stratocaster examples. I have yet to hear back from Fender on the number produced. If I find out, I’ll edit the ad to reflect that total.
This particular Stratocaster is in extremely good condition with few signs of play wear to disclose. Please find the video at the bottom of the listing of this actual guitar
On the body itself, I could not find any dings or contusions and only a slight number of very superficial surface scratches. There are a couple of pick scratches on the top to the left of the pickguard but they are very slight. On the back toward the bass horn I saw a small very minute surface scratch. If there are any other scuffs, scrapes or scratches on the body, they are too minute for my aging eyes to find.
And to prove to the nay-sayers that it is a genuine Fender, it does bear the obligatory finish cracks in the neck pocket. Photographs provided.
The pick guard carries the obligatory scratches that every played guitar bears. Nothing severe and the pickguard has years of life left, Although it would look even better with an unblemished guard installed! The back plate has some scratches on it as well.
On the gloss face of the headstock, on the treble edge under the Fender water slide are a couple of very slight indentations, probably from a clip on tuner. Photograph provided.
The frets show minimal wear without any prolific cuts, scratches, divots or dimples. I did not see any string tracks on the real Rosewood fretboard, either. It really is in fantastic shape..
On that note, until I got it cleaned up, there are some white spots in various places that I took as the color film having peeled away. That is definitely not the case if you happen to see any of those in the photos. They’re just white spots and the surface is smooth across the white and onto the colored areas.
Everything from the tuners to the bridge (with high mass trem block) functions just as each item should.
