The Greco SE600 evokes the early days of Japanese Stratocaster copies in the early 1970s.
Featuring a curved Greco logo, no serial number, and a neck plate stamped with "MATSUMOKU," this guitar is packed with transitional details typical of early models.
The large-headstock design and natural finish give it a rugged presence typical of the era. While the grain is relatively subtle, the weight and specifications suggest a body made from a type of cypress wood.
It is equipped with Maxon single-coil pickups. Its appeal lies in the wide dynamic range and mellow tone characteristic of vintage Japanese guitars, resulting in a sound that combines brilliance with a rich, full-bodied depth.
This is a guitar that lets you fully appreciate the raw yet rich character of gearly Japanese vintageh models, distinct from the more refined Super Real era that followed.
Tremolo arm is missing.
There is paint discoloration from a sticker on the body top. Metal parts, such as the joint plate, show signs of deterioration and rust.
There is some paint reaction at the tip of the headstock, and the gloss has faded slightly.
The engraving on the knobs is fading. Additionally, the pots exhibit slight rotational resistance due to age, but this does not affect playability.
Otherwise, there are some minor scratches and dents, but no particularly noticeable damage.
The neck has a slight waviness due to the truss rod being fully loosened. The frets are slightly low, making them difficult to level; therefore, it is currently set to a higher standard, and there are no issues with playability.
