1979 OCTAVE Cat Duo/Mono Synthesizer RESTORED

Absolute beast of a mono/duo synthesizer. People compare these to ARP Odysseys, but that is just embarrassing for ARP. The Cat is incredibly musical, and FAT as all get out. I mean jeez, you have to hear it to believe the warmth and just funk of the filter on this thing.

The modulation options are out of this world. If you get slick with exploring them, or if you're really familiar with Odyssey modulation layouts, these are essentially the same, though much cooler to manipulate due to the fact of having really nice feeling pots instead of the weird ARP sliders.

This one has been totally overhauled. Recapped, keyboard has new bushings (which feel awesome), it's all been deep cleaned and calibrated. People talk about these having pitch stability issues but not this baby. I've played it on gigs for synth bass and it holds up juuuuuust fine!

Cosmetically, it presents great. There is a pretty weird/whack tape covered bottom plate, but if that bothers you I'm happy to knock up a different one for you. Other than that, all wear is pretty honest and looks great.

Really sad to be letting this go but an international move is pushing me towards a pretty serious downsize. If all my other synths sell first I'll be thrilled and won't sell my Cat. Because I LOVE my cat.
