Antelope Audio Discrete 8 ORYX is an 18‑in/22‑out Thunderbolt/USB audio interface engineered for professional tracking, mixing, and hybrid workflows. It combines discrete ultra‑low noise mic preamps with Antelope’s high‑precision clocking and flexible routing matrix. The discrete preamps deliver up to 76 dB of gain with very low distortion and a rich harmonic profile, making them well‑suited for dynamic and condenser microphones.

Conversion is 24‑bit up to 192 kHz with a claimed dynamic range exceeding 130 dB on both ADC and DAC paths, preserving detail and headroom. The ORYX control panel provides low‑latency monitoring, per‑channel routing, digital patching, and two headphone outputs with independent mixes. Multiple ADAT and SPDIF ports allow expansion with additional preamps or converters without sacrificing base channel integrity.

The front panel includes two combo mic/line inputs with independent phantom and pad, two instrument inputs, and assignable line inputs. Balanced main outputs, multiple line outputs, and word clock I/O enable flexible integration into complex studio signal chains. The chassis is robust and rackmountable for both studio and mobile rigs.
