We are in the process of reducing our collection. This bass & hard case is offered at very competitive price to clear.

Super Greco 'Speedway' through-neck bass from 1978 complete with a fitted hard case.

All the growling menace, rumble and sustain you could ever need. And then some...

Condition-wise...

it's very well preserved with just one or two minor scrapes to the body and a lacquer chip to the edge of the fingerboard. (See photos)

An extra strap button was fitted to the back of the body by the original owner. Clearly there was position change since it left the thread of a previous button in the body. (We acquired it from him this way)

These are not light basses so in some ways it's understandable. But it makes this the only real flaw worth reporting. It doesn't affect playability in any way.

Overall, the hardware is in great shape and original - very high quality tuners (a la Ovation Magnum), chrome bridge, twin Humbuckers etc. The high standard electrics are perfect.

This lad plays beautifully and has a fast and smooth low action. Frets have only minimal wear and the strings are almost new.

In summary...

This bass is a dream to hold and hear.

It hails from when Alembic-inspiration hit Japan in a big way. Greco (along with others such as Kawai and Aria) produced exceptional through-neck models showing off state-of-the-art craftsmanship, attention to detail and beautiful finishing.

Just beware of nearby fault lines and make sure the glass in your windows is firm before turning this one up to 11.

Comes complete with the original hard case - which is in excellent condition.

The Japan post office service (EMS) is reliable and efficient but shipping costs from Japan to Europe or the states are unavoidably expensive.
