Price is for 2 NOS tubes with the most-desired and quite rare blue (old-style) boxes. These are vintage dual triode preamp valve made in Ulm, West Germany. Both have the diamond stamp on the glass, frame-grid construction with long plates bottom and identical factory codes - U8206303d
The designation ECC802S once was used by TELEFUNKEN for a special quality, rugged, low noise, high reliability, long life version of the ECC82/12AU7 tube, featuring frame grid construction.
Telefunken ECC802s is not just a normal ECC82 with cosmetic difference like golden pins.
It has completely different plate structure comparing to normal Telefunken ECC82 12AU7.
Tested VERY STRONG & with BALANCED triode sections as follow
Tube 1:
Ia1 = 10.4 mA | S1 = 2.0 mA/V | Ri1 = 7.6 | μ1 = 15.2
Ia2 = 10.8 mA | S2 = 2.1 mA/V | Ri2 = 7.2 | μ2 = 15.1
Tube 2:
Ia1 = 11.2 mA | S1 = 2.2 mA/V | Ri1 = 6.9 | μ1 = 15.2
Ia2 = 11.1 mA | S2 = 2.3 mA/V | Ri2 = 7.1 | μ2 = 16.3
Tested at: Uf = 12,6V | Ua = 250V | Ug1 = -8.5V
Good begins at: Ia = 7.0mA S=1.5mA/V and 100% is Ia=10.5mA S=2.2mA/V
