With a multitude of projects over the years headlined by a nearly two-decade stint with rock powerhouse Guns N' Roses, Richard Fortus is one of the most respected guitarists in the world.
The Gretsch G6636-RF Falcon is one of those incredible guitars that seamlessly manages to honour its rich heritage whilst pushing forward with modern vision and functionality. Inspired by the Golden Era of Gretsch production, the '50s and '60s, this Falcon is one of Gretsch's rarest birds.
The Maple body is finished in an awesome Black, and with the delicious Nickel hardware, it looks every bit the classic Gretsch. It is incredibly comfortable and feels great against the body.
The Maple neck has a rich Ebony fingerboard and sports the Pearloid Thumbnail inlays, a real nice vintage touch. With 22 medium jumbo frets, a 12" radius and a Standard "U" profile this neck is super comfortable and easy to play.
The dual Custom Wound Filter'Tron pickups have incredible response and definition. They have a great dynamic range and really respond to the way you play, slick and subtle one second and roaring the next.
A V-Stoptail bridge offers great stability and is perfect for all those country, jazz and blues licks. A real stunner, this guitar is a great example of timeless Gretsch design.
