Greco, a brand that enjoys a leading position in the Japanese vintage market, has released the extremely rare APW-500.

This model is believed to have been manufactured around 1990. It is a model that is rarely found on the market, so some of you may have been looking for it.

The original Ampeg/Dan Armstrong models and the higher-end APW-850 feature acrylic bodies, while this is the wood body version.

According to the catalog, the body is made of basswood, and due to its slim design, it is extremely lightweight.

The pickup, equipped with a bar pole piece, has a relatively high output, delivering a powerful sound that is surprising given its appearance and light weight.

The mini switch functions as a direct switch, bypassing the volume and tone controls to produce a clearer, more defined sound.

It has 24 frets, and although it is a bolt-on neck, the long tenon ensures that the joint is not on the back of the fingerboard, providing excellent playability up to the high frets.

[Condition of the item]

The item shows signs of use commensurate with its age, with scratches, dents, and stains in various places.

The frets are generally worn down, with approximately 50-60% remaining.

The neck is in good condition and does not pose any issues for playing.

The truss rod is still functional, but there does not seem to be much room for adjustment in the tightening direction.
