The Rafferty Blues-Screamer contains two of the most iconic classic overdrive circuits in one box, the Marshall Bluesbreaker Mk1 + a Multi-Mode Tube Screamer - all with a few extra mods and options thrown in for even more versatility, making it desirable for all genres.
Details below: Whether it’s for use as the ultimate stand alone blues machine, or to boost and/or push amplification into creamy rock and full-on saturated metal territory, this box brings together highly authentic replicated circuits of two of the world’s most iconic classic overdrives. This classic 2-in-1 combo gives the user a lot of versatility and options in the small footprint of one box. Each side can be engaged individually, and can even be stacked together for an entire new pallet of sounds.

• The Bluesbreaker MK1 stays highly faithful to the original circuit - this means following exact schematics of the original MK1 Bluesbreaker, while also using identical components, ensuring that this truly is no different from the original MK1 Bluesbreaker favoured by guitarists for decades.

• The Tube Screamer side is also a faithfully replicated TS808 circuit, but with additional modifications accessed by the toggle switch to offer different tonal variations. This is essentially a diode selector - the left side offering classic TS808 clipping diodes while the middle position is a diode lift, offering an increase in cleaner headroom. Flip the switch to the right to engage dual red LEDs. This is a mod that gives a more aggressive tone - while the LED’s themselves will visibly light up the harder the guitar is being played, working with the players dynamics.

Over-all, this is an extremely versatile pedal which offers a wide range of transparent, dynamic and rich sounding overdrives.
