..............*******************SEE MY OTHER LISTINGS!!!*******************************
Here's a Denmark manufactured "X- 8" subwoofer/woofer, so I'll speculate Audax/Polydax manufactured>????? I've seen these in a lot of higher quality speaker systems........
It's a really high quality unit, which has just had correct new surround installed, and a new dust cap.
.... She was done the correct way,by removing the dust cap, properly spacing the voice coil in the coil gap, AND - setting the winding height properly against the thickness of the front pole plate.... There's a HUGE difference when done this way, which most others/ other repair facilities simply don't take the time to do, or even have the knowledge on how to do this procedure correctly.,... performance is proportional when done this way (or not!)...
.... This one has a fairly THICK pole plate, so that provides a LOT of cross sectional area for the front pole plate to impose it's flux lines onto and across the voice coil windings..... For an 8" unit, the front pole plate is THICK, so she'l be good for a lot of smaller subwoofer applications as well.......She also features an injection molded polypropylene cone assembly, which I ran down to 15 Hz under diagnostics....
.. Fully operational, and without any rubbing, buzzing, holes, rips, tears, rot, or adhesive failures- she works just peachy!!!!
ANY questions or concerns- just ask.
THANKS GUYS!!-
