Up for sale is a complete 2004 R9 Historic Collection in excellent condition.
This guitar has a unique history. It was originally purchased directly from a Gibson Custom Shop luthier. The fretboard is an exceptionally dark, glassy piece of Rosewood.
Gibson officially stopped using Brazilian Rosewood on production models in mid-2003. However, factory insiders frequently saved premium wood planks for employee builds.
Because there is no official paper trail to verify the Brazilian board, I am pricing it strictly as a standard 2004 R9. This is an incredible opportunity to own a wood-selected insider build without the collector premium.
The maple flame top has gorgeous depth and shifts beautifully in the light. Plays perfectly
