Fernandes JBR - a J-Bass-style bass with a distinctive slanted front pickup.

Fernandes is a long-established Japanese brand with a strong following both in Japan and overseas as a Japan Vintage name. This example is a JB-type model from the 1980s-1990s, with a slant-mounted front pickup and a passive 2-volume/1-tone control layout.

The tone is a classic, low-fuss Jazz Bass sound. Without an overly assertive character, it pairs well with a wide variety of amps and effects and adapts flexibly to the player's style.
