Up for grabs at the Japanese Guitar Company is an incredibly rare, late-1980s Moon Custom Guitars "Katze" superstrat. For players who know high-end Japanese custom builds, Moon instruments crafted at the legendary P.G.M. (P.G.M. Guitar Manufactory) workshop represent the absolute pinnacle of MIJ craftsmanship from the shred boom, easily rivaling premium boutique ESP and Kramer models of the era.
This particular Katze is a phenomenal player's piece that ticks the most important box for vintage collectors. delivering the exact high-fidelity tone and versatile switching Moon was famous for.
The finish is a gorgeous, deep metallic black loaded with vibrant gold flake/sparkle that catches the light beautifully, perfectly matched with an aggressive, pointed matching headstock.

Condition Report:
This guitar has been thoroughly inspected and is a true player's dream. It shows honest cosmetic character marks from decades of love:

• Headstock: There is a visible finish chip on the very tip of the pointed headstock down to the wood (see photos).
• Body: The gloss finish is in great shape overall with strong flake, showing minor edge scuffs and light play wear along the bottom horn carves.
• Hardware & Neck: The neck is straight, the dark rosewood fretboard is healthy, and the frets have plenty of life left in them. The original licensed Floyd Rose locking tremolo block is solid and stable. Please note that the rear plastic tremolo cavity cover plate is missing.
