Five fully tested Symetrix 425 Dual Expander/Compressor/Limiter units, professionally verified using RiTA measurement software in loopback configuration. All-analog signal path, made in USA.

VERIFICATION RESULTS (RiTA loopback measurement):

• Reference signal: direct loopback to RiTA reference input

• Measured signal: Symetrix 425 output routed back to RiTA measurement input

• Attenuation, threshold and ratio values verified coherent across all units

• Active bypass confirmed: +6dB output level in bypass mode (designed behavior — active buffer stage)

• With limiter threshold at -10dB: flat magnitude and phase response confirmed — VCA gain reduction verified correct

• All expander, compressor and limiter functions operating within expected parameters

NOTE ON BYPASS GAIN:

The Symetrix 425 features an active bypass (+6dB) rather than a passive hard-wire bypass. This is by design — the active output buffer ensures low output impedance regardless of processing state. The +6dB can be compensated via the limiter's make-up gain control.

4 units in perfect condition. 1 unit (SN 425AJ537) has a slightly displaced CH1 XLR input connector — insertion requires care but both channels are fully functional.
