Vintage RARE 1950's Electro Voice 926 crystal / 623 dynamic variant microphone Hi Z w cable and Shure S36 stand

 You are looking at one of Electro Voices most interesting microphones ever manufactured and sold during the 1950's and it comes with the period Shure S-36 model desk stand shown.

 This is the Electro Voice 926 model crystal microphone but it's a variant of that mic that was closer to the E.V 623 model. The main difference between the 623 and 926 being that the 926 did not have an on / off switch and had a crystal element. It had a much different lower joint mechanism as well. Apparently E.V decided to sell the 926 model with a dynamic element for a few short years instead of the crystal element.

 This is that rare variant and I'm not sure if E.V gave this mic a different model # and if so I'm unsure of what it was actually called? I have yet to see a catalog with the dynamic version and I have only come a cross a few of these over the last 15 years. This is a very nice working example. It has been tested and has a strong Hi Z working dynamic element. This will be a fun mic to use with a HAM radio set up or just about any other situation.

 This mic has an elegant design and was very practical for it's time being a good general purpose mic that would have been used for dispatch or paging communications. Also used for basic recording purposes. It was an affordable alternative to the very expensive dynamic cardioid and ribbon mics of that time period.

 The polished chrome housing has virtually no wear as seen in the pics provided. This is one of the nicest 926 variant model mics I have ever seen. I try to provide the clearest pictures possible so you know exactly what you're getting. There are zero dents on this old girl. 100% original and nothing is loose inside. The joint mechanism is fixed in place and tilts just slightly up and down. The mic has a shortened cable with the period Cannon male 3 pin XLR male end connector. Simply attach any longer XLR cable of choice to your audio equipment.

 The mic is a true 9 on a scale of 1 - 10.

              MICROPHONE STAND IS PART OF THIS SALE...

 The stand is period Shure S-36 model that compliments the mic nicely and makes for a very stable platform. This is an all aluminum stand with a silver painted finish and a 1950's era model. The two look perfect together.

 This stand has virtually no wear as you can see. There are no dents or fractures on this stand and the stand comes with the front Shure logo, 5 rubber pads and cable clamp as well as the brass bolt that secures the mic firmly in place. Please let the detailed pictures be your guide. 

 Mic stand with mic is appx 8 1/2 inches tall X 5 inches wide X 7 inches deep. Mic stand is a true 9 + on a scale of 1 - 10.

 A fun piece in which to use or display anywhere in the home, studio or man cave. A rare piece with excellent output.
