The Musical Fidelity Elektra E100 is a substantial integrated amplifier delivering 2×70 Watts RMS into 8Ω with total harmonic distortion below 0.05% across the full 20Hz-20kHz bandwidth. Its standout feature is a motorised volume control that allows genuine remote operation without introducing electronic gain compromise - an unusual engineering choice that sets it apart from many amplifiers of its era. Connectivity is broad: six front-panel source inputs including a tape monitor loop, a built-in MM phono stage for turntable use, and an Aux 2 input offering both phono and XLR sockets. Pre-out and Main-In phono sockets allow the signal chain to be broken for bi-amplification or external processing. Loudspeaker terminals combine 4mm sockets with solid knurled metal nuts for a secure, high-quality connection. The fascia is finished in highly polished anodised aluminium with a diecast aluminium volume knob and LED indicator, giving the unit a distinctly premium physical presence.
