About this listing
The Gibson Custom Shop / Murphy Lab 1968 Les Paul Custom Ebony Ultra Light Aged is now in stock!! Serial No.: 506598, manufactured in 2025. Upon arrival, there was a slight crack (break) in the neck, so it was repaired by Gibson (Gibson Japan). It is now in perfect condition with absolutely no issues. The body features a two-piece maple top paired with a one-piece mahogany back, a mahogany neck, and an ebony fingerboard. The neck shape is the "Authentic '68 Medium C-Shape," offering a slim, easy-to-grip profile true to the 1968 Les Paul Custom. It faithfully reproduces the updated 14-degree headstock angle, deep joint, square neck heel, and waffle-pattern tuners. The color is the classic "Ebony" finish for a Les Paul Custom. The finish is Murphy Labfs "Ultra Light Aged" finish, which features weather checking throughout, resulting in a guitar with a great vintage vibe. It is equipped with two original "68 Custom Humbuckers." These pickups faithfully reproduce the sound of 1968. They deliver not only the powerful low-to-mid range characteristic of a Les Paul but also clearly convey the nuances of delicate picking. Although there are minor cracks (fissures) that have been repaired, playability is excellent. As for the condition, since it has been aged, it is difficult to distinguish scratches and other marks; it is in relatively good condition. Please consider this opportunity.
