Vintage 1970s/1980s Sonor Phonic 14x10" Tom Shell - 9-Ply German Beech - Red ?

Up for sale is a rare vintage Sonor Phonic 14" x 10" rack tom drum shell, precision-crafted in West Germany in 1979. ✔️

According to the internal ink stamp (919), this shell was manufactured in the late 1970s, during the golden era of Sonor's heavy-duty engineering.

Key Features:

Shell Construction: Legendary 9-ply, 9 mm thick premium German Beechwood (no reinforcement rings). Famous for its massive punch, deep projection, and incredible tuning range. ✔️

Size: 14" Diameter x 10" Depth. ✔️

Finish: Original Metallic Red / Centennial Red wrap ( please check colour) ✔️

Condition: Bare shell project. The original factory layout for Phonic lugs and the heavy-duty Sonor tom mount remains completely intact. ( Please see all pictures, it's part of description) ✔️

The wrap shows some typical vintage scuffs and minor surface wear, but it holds a great shine and has no major cracks. Bearing edges are in solid original shape.

Notes: original Sonor wrap need to clean carefully ( before upside original wrap we have cheap wrap, you can see parts of glue but original wrap maximum safety after that "work") ✔️

This is a perfect restoration project for a Sonor collector or a killer foundation for a custom build. It’s getting extremely hard to find unmolested Phonic beech wood shells in this size + good shell for project or snare drum! ✔️
