Best fuzz I have ever played.

Mark Z is germanium fuzz based on circuits of Zonk Machine and Tonebender MKI. It may appear to be a step between these two - Zonk at heart with MKI muscles, reasonable choice for the one who's undecided and the obvious choice for one who's decided on all of them... but in fact it becomes the third option validating it's existence by raw force.

And ever heard of 'System' tuned MKI, famous for quite an unconventional bias? Let's pretend it was not MKI, but Zonk instead - and that's how Mark Z was born. This one sounds sweet at lowest fuzz settings, while richest tone and natural unrestricted sustain is achieved just below noon, spiced with artifacts and touch of sizzle at decay (if you don't like it, standard box version is free of sizzle). Cranking it up makes transistor 'over-saturating' guitar signal, what yields in wild harmonics with rugged feel and pronounced gating effect. There's great range of accessible fuzz shades with this knob and Mark Z is a dynamic device, which feels like fuzzy extension to your instrument.

Wedge enclosure version comes with reproduction of original case (aluminium box with side jacks and top battery compartment, bit smaller and lighter than MKI style wedge). Circuit is assembled on my PCB inspired by early Zonks layout, and spots all the good stuff - current batch comes with Brimar/Mazda AC113, Philips OC75, Mullard OC72 transistors, Miflex polystyrene & Vishay electrolytic & Philips mustard & Mullard tropical fish caps, carbon composition resistors, switched swell pot, heavy duty hardware, etc.

This is battery powered unit only and to disconnect battery turn swell pot to off position or unplug the input cord.
