Description: Available now is a rare Eastman SB58/TV-LTD Limited Edition in a beautiful Classic Sunburst. This model is part of a strictly limited run that showcases Eastman’s highest level of craftsmanship and tone-searching.
The "TV" in the name stands for Truetone Vintage, referring to the ultra-thin, hand-applied Varnish finish. This finish not only gives the guitar a stunning vintage look with factory-applied relicing but also allows the wood to vibrate much more freely than a standard poly or nitro finish.
Tonewoods & Construction: Unlike the standard SB58, the TV-LTD is built with a one-piece Okoume body and neck. Okoume is prized in boutique guitar building for being lightweight and highly resonant, offering a rich, harmonic-heavy alternative to traditional mahogany. It features a solid carved Maple top and a premium Ebony fingerboard.
Electronics & Hardware: The pickup configuration is what makes this guitar truly versatile:
- Neck Pickup: Lollar Custom Aged Soapbar P90 (for warm, articulate, and woody tones).
- Bridge Pickup: Lollar Custom Aged Imperial Humbucker (for classic 50s-style PAF grit and clarity).
