This is one very rare vintage Transformer manufactured by United Transformer Corporation ( UTC) - A24 - with one UTC A-33 Magnetic Shield in great physical condition and working order for sale.
This transformer was manufactured in June 1970 – 55 years ago!
RCA ordered four API mixing consoles for RCA music recording studios in Chicago, Hollywood, Nashville and New York in 1970.
This particular transformer was removed from the API console manufactured for RCA and commissioned in RCA Studios in New York in 1970.
We have purchased the entire content of the RCA New York studios in 1989 including the API console.
This transformer was used as a microphone input transformer in the API console – it is still originally strapped (pin 3&4 and 8&9) as shown on the original API schematic.
These transformers were also used for the output stage of the Teletronix / Urei / UA Universal Audio LA-2A limiters as well.
