- 5 piece body
- mahogany core, maple layers , flamed walnut back and front, quilted maple tone block
- ebony board
- I have changed 5 of the tuners with the same model from gotoh ( looks identical just different branding on the back) because one had a problem and they had wear on them . I stil have the originals if needed.
- Standard spacing 18mm
- 5.1 kg
The good :
- The bass plays beautifully and sounds balanced and with the character only a Smith has. The B string is a monster
- low action possible if desired. plays fast and effortlessly
- There are no structural or electronic problems : no cracks , no problems with the neck or trussrod, no problems with the pots , pickups or electronics. everything works well .
The less good :
- It has a big ding on the bottom from an accident (shown in the photos ) but does not affect the bass in any way
- it has a lot of small dings on the back and front but none that affect playability or anything ( only estetic )
- some finish wear on the body
- I don't have the original case but I will provide a brand new Gator TSA case
