Independent duel volume and gain controls for each Chanel are a game changer in a Marshall style amp. Your not held back trying to balance gain against master volume.
That’s the killer with old Marshall designs, but they hadent worked out to do it better back then, and no one wanted a quiet amp, so going balls to the wall was what folks wanted.
Old Marshalls sound the dogs on full chat, but by that point it’s blown all the ruddy doors off.

Friedman managues to improve on the old school sound by incorporating modern control stack and power design to a tried and tested formula.
