Beautiful violin from around 1910. Rosewood pegs, ebony fittings, moderate curl, reddish/amber oil finish. This violin has a terrific voice which is smooth and resonant and has excellent volume. The Paulus family has a long history in Markneukirchen of producing very good quality instruments. No cracks, but does have well repaired seam separation on the top under the tailpiece, and the finish has a couple defect places on the back. String sounding length of 327mm (12 7/8") and length of back is 356mm (14"). Includes a functional case.
