The Lead is a tube preamp in pedal format, made in France, designed to recreate the tones of modern high-gain amps inspired by the Mesa Boogie Mark and Rectifier, as well as Soldano heads. It belongs to the "Le Preamp" series and incorporates a genuine 12AX7/ECC83 tube operating at high voltage (200V), offering dynamics, compression, and playing response comparable to those of a real tube amp. It features two independent channels (Modern and Vintage), usable separately or combined via the Fusion mode, allowing it to cover a wide tonal spectrum from powerful crunch to high-gain saturation for hard rock and metal. Equipped with full EQ, an effects loop, an XLR output with Torpedo cabinet simulation, a headphone output, MIDI, and comprehensive connectivity, it can be used in front of an amp, in an effects loop, or directly into an audio interface or mixing console.
