Ibanez TS-9 Tube Screamer 1982 Japan s/n 179100 Black Label with Texas Instruments RC4558P op amp, The Edge U2. The capacitor dates ( last photo ) to June 1982, so despite the serie number starting with an one, we still need to determine the manufacturer date at 1982. Thoroughly tested and in perfect working order.

Other TS-9's which BEP has viewed on Reverb often have white labels and no gut shots, which is a red flag to BEP as many TS-9's were widely re-issued in the 90's all having white labels with different first numbers, which in the 80's would determine a year of release, but in the 90's this number system was altered drastically into a kind of Enigma.
