The Shure SFG-2 Stylus Tracking Force Gauge is a precision beam balance designed to accurately measure stylus tracking forces from 0.5 to 3.0 grams in 0.05-gram increments. Its rolling bearing pin pivots minimize friction, ensuring precise readings, and each unit is factory calibrated for reliable performance.

Key Features:

Instructions for Use:

1. Ensure your turntable is on a level surface with a level platter.
2. Place the SFG-2 on the platter, aligning the turntable spindle with the SFG-2’s vee notch, or place it on top of an LP for added stability.
3. Temporarily set any anti-skating controls to zero.
4. Slide the weight to the desired tracking force (in grams). For forces over 1.50 grams, set the weight to half the desired force.
5. Carefully lower the tonearm so the stylus rests in the appropriate groove on the lever arm:
6. • Use “TIMES 1” if the full force is dialed in
   • Use “TIMES 2” if half the desired force is set

Condition: A previously used item showing cosmetic wear consistent with age, fully operational and functions as intended.
