Here at The Fellowship of Acoustics we regularly come across the most beautiful recreations of the Fender Custom Shop, but this Precision Bass from 1973 is the real deal! The bass is also extremely light at 3.74 kilograms, making playing the most creative bass parts on stage or in the studio a piece of cake!
Fender introduced the Precision Bass in 1951, and its big sound and indestructible build completely changed the music world. Despite the single pickup, the bass is extremely versatile, and this is also evident from the fact that you can encounter the Precision Bass in any musical situation. The bass's alder body is wrapped in one of Fender's signature colorways, 3 Color Sunburst. The black pickguard completes the picture, and the maple neck is still very smooth to play.
It is clear that this vintage Fender Precision Bass has been well used for over 50 years, but it is equally clear that the bass has also been well cared for. In addition to the expected playwear, the bass is exceptionally clean, with the original electronics such as two potentiometers that can be dated to the 29th and 42nd week of 1973. The bass is also equipped with the original hardware such as tuners, bridge and chrome covers.
The Fender Precision Bass is one of the most popular bass guitars in history, and this example from 1973 lets you feel and hear why!
