Shin-ei FY-6 " Super Fuzz" Vintage Reproduction

SHIN-EI FY-6 VINTAGE 1960'S SUPER FUZZ REPRODUCTION

Up for sale is an Official Shin-ei reproduction of the original 1968 Shin-ei branded FY-6 Super Fuzz with the addition of nine volt external power capability and an LED pilot lamp to make the unit more user friendly.
Nine volt battery clip access is also included inside the unit for vintage style power.
Production is limited to fifty units.

FEATURES

The Honey Co. Ltd. FY-6 "Baby Crying" fuzz was released in 1967. It was the very first incarnation of what was to eventually become the 1970's red and blue "Super Fuzz" and its quality was originally marketed as a "Super Fuzz" in magazine ads.

Starting in 1968 Shin-ei branded each FY-6 with their own label.
This version features a stainless bottom with "Super Fuzz" printed on it as a tribute to the old days.
Only fifty units are available.

SOUND

Using only the highest quality parts, we have duplicated the original electronic circuitry of the FY-6 and recreated its original magic. It is almost impossible to tell the difference between an original and our current unit. Each unit features many NOS carbon comp resistors and other internal components including the highest quality original spec Matsushita/Panasonic transistors.

OPERATION

The unit is controlled by the Balance/Expander knobs and the slider switch (Tone 1 & 2) which are located on the left side of the unit. 

DESIGN

The FY-6 Super Fuzz is a highly accurate reproduction of the original Shin-ei units made in 1968. From the original "Shin-ei" foil label to the recessed control area on its steel enclosure, the FY-6 is hardly detectable from an original unit.
