Selling here my Marshall 1987X Plexi, Made in UK from 2014. Only 1 piece available! I find this amp to be very dynamic with lots of cool classic tones - very classic Marshall sounds which people search for. It nails classic tones all the way. It does clean up in a special way by means of rolling your guitar's volume and can go from clean, grit, dirty to roaring by volume swell. Its awesome in that regard! This 50 Watt reissue Plexi has been designed to replicate the 70’s tone and aesthetics of the original. It’s one-of-a-kind tonal characteristics are what defined this all-valve amp and they have not changed for the reissue. The 1987X delivers the perfect balance of classic Marshall overdrive and glistening clean tones. Its original FX loop gives it a modern twist.

The Marshall 1987x amp is really a holy grail amp. It gives you glassy cleans, chunchy crunch and glorious overdriven Marshall goodness. Nails the tones of classic rock faves like Zeppelin, AC/DC, early Judas Priest, and many others.  The 1987X Reissue is beloved for its raw power and pure all-valve British tone. In my view it is also very aesthetically pleasing.

This amp is loud. Although I played it mostly clean or with pedals and effects at bedroom levels.
And built like a tank. Has a few marks on the surface but nothing major or deep into the tolex. No mods or repairs. Some light signs of use on the edges (please check the photos).

There is only 3db difference of volume between the Marshall 1987X and Marshall 1959. In addition to weight, tube replacement cost I prefer the 1987 as does Malmsteen and many others due to voltages, dropping resistors and the transformers which are indeed quite important to the "Tone" sound and feel.

This Marshall's flagship amp offers Presence, a standard three band EQ, and Volume for each channel. It features 2 channels with 2 inputs each. With various connections those 4 inputs offer flexible sound blending. Channel 1 is voiced for a higher treble response and Channel 2 for a normal response. Each has it’s own loudness option. This amp just might be the best pedal platform ever. Why? Super dynamic + clean-ish headroom (depending on your settings): You can keep it on the edge of breakup and push it into sweet saturation with drive pedals. Simple, uncompressed circuit: No tone-sucking nonsense — it reacts exactly to what you put in front of it.

The amp has been visually inspected and played, so I can only confirm its condition based on this review. I have not disassembled the amp, and the condition description refers solely to what was observed and tested externally.

You can ask anything about the condition of the amp before actually buying it. Shipping within EU-Mainland with courier and tracking (altogether at 60 Euro). Shipping outside of the EU is NOT available.

I do not negotiate about the price, sorry.

Thanks for looking!
