Video Features 100% maple shells The shells of the Maple series are made of 6 layers of maple with a total thickness of 5 mm. Sound was the highest priority when designing Polmuz drums. Balanced midrange and high tones ensure great versatility across many music styles. The full, powerful character and rich resonance of the shells were achieved through the careful selection of maple layers and focus on shell forming and edge shape. Edges The 45° edge cut ensures optimal contact with the drum head. Each edge on Polmuz drums has been polished and additionally waxed, ensuring perfect contact between the head and shell. The result is clean tone across the full frequency range. Sharp bearing edge on toms provides quick attack and short sustain, while the rounded bearing edge on bass drum generates unique and warm vintage tone. Finish The matte finish on Polmuz drums gives each set a unique look and distinctive tone. The lacquer used on Maple series Polmuz drums is of the highest quality. Tube Lug Tube Lugs are characteristic of all Polmuz drums. The unique Tube Lug design makes them look like traditional mounts, but the lug shell "floats" above the drum to minimize contact with the shell. This allows the entire drum to resonate across the full range of tones. To minimize the risk of drums going out of tune, each one has a long screw that seats deeply in the lug. Additionally, each has double security in the form of washers - metal and nylon - which guarantee tuning stability. Chrome hardware All hardware on Polmuz drums is finished with chrome plating. The beautiful appearance conveys a sense of highest quality materials used and breaks with the brand's unfortunate reputation from years past. Mounting system A non-invasive mounting system ensures maximum resonance and stability regardless of conditions. The streamlined design allows toms to be positioned closer together, providing greater freedom and comfort. Additionally, parts made from aluminum ensure lighter weight. Bass drum spurs The spurs on Polmuz bass drums are equipped with rubber pads that help protect wooden hoops from damage. In this arrangement, the spurs and hoops form one cohesive unit so they don't separate or rattle, even with loose tuning. Drum heads Transparent, 1-ply high-quality batter heads are used on these drums. Resonant heads additionally feature a wide muffling collar. The resonant heads are distinguished by a characteristic vintage-style head with a distinctive Polmuz logo.
