Rare Rostov guitar, Stella (Стелла) model, “Made in Russia” in the former USSR between 1977-1993. This is one of the most convenient Soviet electric guitars: a small, lightweight, accurate. The Stella was the last guitar produced at the Rostov factory (Rostov am Don), known as the factory that manufactured the best instruments in the entire USSR. This Rostov was one of the most ambitious Hi-fi stereo models of the time, featuring 4x split stereo pickups, electronic complexity, stereo output (switch with the possibility of switching between stereo / mono), 2x stereo modes, 1x mono mode, 5x knobs and 8x switches. The pickups in stereo mode subdivide the sound, where the signal from the 1st-2nd-3rd strings goes to one channel and the 4th-5th-6th strings goes to another. And even more possible mixes through various filters, in stereo option. Crazy.

The guitar has a great sound, the pickups sound really good, and all the Soviet electronics are of excellent quality. Everything is shielded and uses superior quality components. It's a wonderful piece for collectors!

It also has the original tailpiece with a perfectly functional tremolo system and a string damper that was very common at the time, with two positions, active and at rest.

These Soviet solid-body guitars, in addition to very good electronics, have excellent woods. The guitar is in great condition, including all the chrome parts. A full refretting has been done, so the frets are perfect and the string action is low.
