Last year, Revv Amps created something of a ceasefire between the warring factions of amp fans: the steadfast tube adherents and the new guard of DSP-loving amp enthusiasts.
Its D20, released in May 2019, is an all-tube 20-watt head that also includes reactive load and cabinet-simulation technology from Two Notes to expand upon the tube sound palette.
Today, Revv Amplification is back with a high-gain follow-up, the G20.
Like its predecessor, it's an all-tube, made-in-Canada amplifier with Two Notes' tech built in. Switchable between 20 watts and four watts, the G20 is ideal for low-volume practice and recording sessions or full-volume performances. But the G20 musters a much more aggressive set of high-gain tones than the D20 can offer.
According to Revv, the features include:
- All tube, 20- or 4- watt operation
- 2 Channels, 3-band EQ, plus Volume & Gain controls, Aggression & Wide voice switches
- Fully programmable and recallable via MIDI, or with optional footswitch
- 2x 6v6, 3x 12ax7, w/ buffered series FX loop
- Go direct to front of house, recording interface, or headphones without a cabinet
- 6 customizable Virtual Cabinet settings selectable via front knob, or up to 128 via MIDI
- Hundreds of virtual mics, speakers, cabinets, EQ, reverb, and more available
- Weighs 9 pounds & includes fold-down handle
The Revv Amps G20 is available for pre-order, at $1,299 USD. Explore all used and new Revv and Two Notes now.
