This is the MXR GT-OD Overdrive, model M193, a compact analog overdrive pedal designed for smooth, warm, classic drive tones without excessive noise or heavy tone coloration. It works well as a main overdrive, pushed-amp style drive, rhythm crunch pedal, lead boost, or front-end boost into an already driven amp.

The pedal has a simple three-control layout: Output, Tone, and Gain. Output sets the overall level, Tone adjusts brightness and top-end response, and Gain controls the amount of drive. With lower gain and higher output it can be used as a cleanish boost or amp-push pedal; with the gain increased it moves into fuller classic overdrive and singing lead tones.
