This Fender Stratocaster Foto Flame ’57 reissue was made in Japan by FujiGen Gakki. Original case included! This is the 57 reissue, full of vintage flavor, from the single ply pick guard to the the 2-tone sunburst to the Kluson styled tuners and original Fender “spaghetti” logo. The maple neck is a comfy yet chunky soft-v shape that has been refretted with jumbo frets. Guitar is in good condition but got a case of buckle rash.
The Foto-Flame series was made with the involvement of imaging specialists Fujifilm. The front and rear of the body is overlaid with a type of transparent film, the same type that is used in the automotive industries to emulate exotic woods in car interiors.
Fender’s Dan Smith said: “I’ve got three or four hanging in my office. When real guitar experts walk in they’ll say: ‘God, where did you get that beautiful piece of maple?’ They’ll pick it up and wax enthusiastically about it for 20 minutes before I have to break their bubble.”
