It is equipped with a legendary Telefunken ECC83 (double triode), Berlin, June 1965 – smooth plates version, widely regarded as one of the best-sounding ECC83 tubes ever produced.

After the tube upgrade, the compressor sounds noticeably warmer, deeper, and more three-dimensional, with a velvety, smooth compression character.

It responds very musically to playing dynamics. It does not “squash” the signal — instead, it smooths it in a natural, tube-driven way, similar to classic vintage studio compressors.
