This is a very rare early Russian-made Electro-Harmonix Big Muff, commonly referred to as the “Civil War” version.

Among the various Russian Big Muff variants, this model is widely regarded as one of the earliest and most sought-after, and has long since achieved legendary status.

Unlike modern reissues or later Russian versions, this unit delivers a thick, raw, and aggressive fuzz character with exceptional low-end response and a distinctive midrange presence that is difficult to replicate. The sound is noticeably different from current production models.

A DC power jack has been professionally added prior to my ownership, allowing convenient use with a standard AC adapter (a common and practical modification for these units).
