This is a true collector's item from a pivotal period in Fender's history, albeit under the Squier brand! Imagine, this is a 30+ year old bass in mint, unplayed condition, still in its original box with matching serial number stamped on the label! Plastic still on the pickguard! You will be hard pressed to ever find one again in the same condition and this a definite conversational piece.

When Fender ceased production of Squier guitars in Korea and India in the early 90s and returned to Japan and the Fuji-Gen Factory, they went out of their way to through quality quench the competition with its first upgraded lineup. The silver series got its name from the silver transitional Fender logo on the headstocks. After word got out that these instruments were really good, Fender added the Silver Series name to the logos. This one has a nice thin neck, feels more like a Jazz Bass in the neck profile, perhaps just a tad bit wider. It’s super resonant and responsive. Straight out of the box, without any set up, it plays great! Feels like the neck and body are two pieces of really good wood, that works great together. Weight: 3.94kg
