Interesting German violin labelled Paul Ritter in Sachsen. Paul Ritter was making violins in Sachsen Germany from the late 1800's until about 1930. The label is mostly illegible -- appears to indicate 1900's production. There is a second label which is also illegible, so it's likely one of the labels is a repair label added after the violin was made. It is a handsome violin with a very nice amber oil finish. A very nice vintage instrument that is well preserved, plays well and has a great tone. Includes a good vintage case which shows its age but is functional.
