The Ghoul Screamer, developed with Kirk Hammett of Metallica, is a particularly versatile Tube Screamer-style overdrive, capable of ranging from a clean boost with the classic hump in the mids to a powerful and very aggressive overdrive. It retains the Drive, Tone, and Volume controls of a TS but adds five mini-switches to modify the bass, highs, mids, and body, as well as three levels of compression, making it very easy to adapt to different amps, pickups, and tunings. Reviews by Premier Guitar and MusicRadar highlight its excellent ability to tighten up high-gain and metal tones, while users appreciate its robust construction, true bypass, and broader, less mid-heavy character compared to a classic TS9. It is made in the USA.
