Prologue is Korg's new flagship analog synthesizer and a big sister to the Monologue and Minilogue.This 8 voice analog polysynth features powerful analog circuitry, a 49-note keyboard, a digital multi-engine, and several DSP-based effects. Beyond that, one of the Prologue's most ingenious features is its open-source firmware. This gives users the ability to customize oscillators and effects programs, effectively making the Prologue all their own.Internally, Prologue sports wave shaping capabilities and a two-pole lowpass filter that excels in the creation of punchy basslines. From there, its powerful multi-engine allows for the integration of digital waveforms and FM, meaning users are not resigned to the analog realm. The multi-engine is comprised of three distinct sound engines (noise generator, VPM oscillator, and user oscillator), all of which can be combined with Prologue's analog VCOs to compound its sonic potential.
