For sale is a rare GIBSON SG Deluxe Stereo 1971 Worldwide only 79 pcs. of GIBSON SG 1971 STEREO had been made.There is existing a letter from TIM SHAW, GIBSON Nashville, Project Engineer Research & Development stating that only 79 of this kind were made and the circuit diagram was added. The new owner will receive a copy of the original letter dated May 13, 1985 concerning my other Gibson SG Deluxe 1971 stereo model which had been sold here on Reverb. I bought this one about 15 years ago for my collection from a guy in the US who was not aware that this is the rare stereo version. It shows an insignificant bridge position repair and comes in the shown shaped GIBSON luxury case. One of the preowners did change the switch screws, no idea why. Would be easy to be replaced by Phillips screws for optical reasons. The instrument is showing that it had been used, but everything works very fine as it should do.

It seems to be very easy to transform a SG71 Mono into a SG71 Stereo - if one knows the facts and have matching material.Suddenly a lot of SG71 Stereo owner appear, asking me for the wiring harness and pic's from inside, because their instrument would've problems ... ... ...But I did not answer such questions and please understand that I will NOT ANSWER those questions in the future.Beside that I always try to and like to help as much as I can. I'm just a private collector. Not a professional dealer, luthier, music technician or such and I'm closing down my collection. That's it.And please be aware, that the so called REVERB "Fair Market Range" doesn't realize that this offer contains a vintage instrument which is barely not able to be compared with any other Gibson SG Deluxe.
