Double dishes getters, copper post, incredible and so beautiful construction. Probably the best ever made after the almost unobtainable GEC. The winged =C= KT88 have the best possible manufacturing process, best specs and tolerance with the magic sound of the best vintage tubes.
The tubes come from the same factory, are the same model, .Same OKT61 code on the 2 tubes !!!
Label and code are intact on every tube. They all have excellent, large, mirror like getter flash
Super rare especially in that condition. They are almost new . After a first test when got them new, they've been plaid in an high end hifi device for a gentle burning time of about 1 or 2 hours during about a week prior being removed and then tested again.
So think them as being a "platinium" matched pair.
They've just been freshly tested again and show excellent tests results with a tight matching ( within 3 %)
Should I have to mention that the sound is wonderful ...
All I love , extended frequency range, huge low, all freq are clear detailed, crispy top end with lovely harmonics.
Very best KT88 for high end HIFI.
In a bass amp they sound massive with a killer tone, but can deliver the most subtle details of any kind so why they're so regarded by audiophiles and all music lovers.
In guitar amp, fat and crystal clear tone, bell like.
And even with low er voltage applied on cathode they have a super strong life test on Jackon 648 !! Super robust cathode so very long lasting tubes !

The Jackson 648. It is definitely one of my favorite tube testers. While it does not employ a mutual conductance test circuit, it does use an advanced emission circuit that applies separate element voltages to each tube element, and separate load circuits are also used. “These voltages and loads have been carefully selected for each tube to meet most ideally the normal operating condition of the tube.” (Source: 1950 Jackson catalog.)
In my experience, the Jackson circuitry is very effective, and often will surprise you with accuracy that approaches Hickok’s coveted “mutual conductance” test method. ( Source tubesound web site.)
I do my best to test and describe the tubes the best I can.
Note that test results may vary from one tester to an other so this must be taken as an indication, although my jackson is regulary tested for calibration.
