The Shin‑ei FY‑2 Fuzz Box is a gnarly little Japanese fuzz gem from the late ’60s to early ’70s. Just two knobs, Volume and Fuzz but that simplicity delivers raw, gated fuzz that slices through with garage‑rock aggression. This Silicon version has a great mids‑cut bite.
Radiohead’s Colin Greenwood, The Black Keys’ Dan Auerbach, Graham Coxon (Blur), William Reid (The Jesus and Mary Chain), and Stephen Morris (Joy Division/New Order) have all harnessed its snarling edge.
