Anno Galama, a Dutch guitar builder, embodies a legacy of craftsmanship and musical passion nestled amidst the Dutch countryside. His journey began with a childhood fascination for the melodies emanating from his father's guitar, sparking a lifelong dedication to the art of luthiery. With each guitar he meticulously crafts, Anno marries traditional design with modern innovation.
This Flying V is built with a full cedar construction, which is very common for his guitars from this era. This makes the guitar extremely lightweight and resonant. It has a very clean aesthetic, with no headstock logo whatsoever and only a simple wraparound bridge from Schaller with a perfect intonation system.
The two vintage Schaller humbuckers, built in a classic Gibson 'Tarback' style, are controlled with three push/pull knobs that control its volume and tone. The tone controls run through a Bill Lawrence Q Filter. This makes for a unique tonal variety that may take some getting used to, but offers a wide variety of tones otherwise not accessible with a 'normal' control-layout.
In short, a very cool piece of Dutch history and a piece of guitar-history in general. We're selling this guitar in consignment for a customer of ours.
