These Gaboon Ebony blanks were cut for a local luthier ca 1965 by Rickenbacker who supplied local builders with smaller quantities of things at the time.
The dimensions will allow for most electric guitars and acoustic arch tops with bound fretboards However some necks are too wide so please check the dimensions.
They’re 2 1/16” wide at the very end and 1 11/16 at the nut end.
3/8” thick and rough sawn.
20 1/16” in length.
Wax seeled ends with no checks or dry cracking.
Properly stored in Southern California for almost 60 years.
The tap tones are loud and woodier than most ebony. It’s very well seasoned.
If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask.
