The Bloom v2 MIDI by Jackson Audio is a guitar pedal featuring a studio-quality optical compressor (LA-2A style), a 3-band (Baxandall) equalizer, and a boost function that allows for a gradual swell (the "bloom" from which the pedal takes its name).

The signal first passes through the compressor. There are six distinct compression modes, selectable via the footswitch and identified by the color of the LED indicator:

• Limiter (2.5 ms): Fast limiter/compression.

• Country (7.5 ms): Quick response for a sharp, "snappy" country tone.

• R&B (50 ms): Slower attack, allowing the initial transients (the pick attack) to come through.

• Ballad (120 ms): Very slow attack for a natural, open sound.

• Slide: A dual-compression setting, configured with an internal stage to produce the characteristic, singing quality of a slide guitar with plenty of sustain.

• Aux Compressor: An additional, configurable preset (accessible via MIDI or internal settings).

Following this, the signal passes through the 3-band equalizer.

Finally, you can boost the signal by up to +20dB, either instantly, by tapping the "Bloom" footswitch, or as a gradual swell, by holding the switch down for as long as you desire the "bloom" effect to last. The speed of the swell can be adjusted on the pedal itself, and the decay time can also be configured via MIDI.
