The Empress Effects Tremolo 2 is a high-end tremolo pedal that combines an analog audio circuit with digital control to deliver precise rhythmic timing and excellent sonic transparency. It offers three waveforms — triangle, square and an asymmetrical waveform inspired by Fender brownface amplifiers — along with eight different rhythmic patterns, ranging from classic tremolo to more complex pulses. Its tap tempo function lets you synchronize the effect to the song, with several subdivision ratios, while its memory can store up to eight presets. It also features an output gain control providing up to 12 dB of boost, switchable true or buffered bypass, and a control port compatible with an expression pedal, external tap tempo, control voltage (CV) and MIDI. Highly versatile, it is equally suited to vintage Fender-style tremolo textures and more experimental, choppy rhythmic effects.
